Dr. Geissler’s private practice as a licensed research psychoanalyst in the State of California is limited to the assessment of the mental capacity of elderly adults.
A mental status evaluation can be performed face-to-face or by means of confidential and secure doctor-patient telecommunications.
MEDIATION IN CALIFORNIA
Dr. Geissler is an appointed mediator for The Court of Appeal, Sixth Appellate District in the State of California. Given Dr. Geissler’s familiarity with the standard of care required of healthcare practitioners and the myriad of medico-legal issues surrounding the practice of medicine, Dr. Geissler is a natural choice for a good- natured mediator for healthcare-related conflict resolution.
In his private practice as an independent mediator, Dr. Geissler is available to serve as a neutral in healthcare-related conflict resolution. Dr. Geissler has subject-specific expertise in medical malpractice, medical insurance and billing, workers’ compensation insurance, convalescent hospitals, and nursing.
PSYCHIATRY IN ZANZIBAR
Dr. Geissler is a licensed physician in Zanzibar with a specialty in forensic (medico-legal) psychiatry.
As a civic duty, Dr. Geissler has sent a proposal to Ministry of Health to provide forensic (medico-legal) psychiatric services to the High Court of The Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar.
It is hoped that by making psychiatric services readily available to the High Court and Ministry of Constitution and Legal Affairs, the administration of justice may be served.
Acting in his capacity as a private specialty medical consultant, Dr. Geissler offers emergency psychiatry services off-island on Saturdays and Sundays by means of confidential and secure doctor-patient telecommunications.
PSYCHIATRY IN UKRAINE
Dr. Geissler has opened a temporary office in Kiev for the purpose of providing psychiatric and medical support services to Ukrainian refugees in time of war.
Dr. Geissler is a candidate for Full Recognition (Psychiatry Specialist Register) with the Ukrainian Medical Council. Voluntary registration of foreign doctors who received their education abroad is conducted on the grounds of the Certificate of Recognition issued by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. Dr. Geissler has applied to the Ministry of Social Politics of Ukraine for recognition of Geissler & Associates as a non-governmental (not-for-profit) healthcare organization. Dr. Geissler has applied for a permit from the Ministry of Health of Ukraine to engage in professional activities.
PSYCHIATRY IN IRELAND
Dr. Geissler is not a licensed physician in Ireland.
Dr. Geissler has applied to become an associate member of the College of Psychiatrists in Ireland.
MEDICAL PHYSICS IN IRELAND
Dr. Geissler is board-certified by the Irish College of Physicists in Medicine (ICPM), the registration body for medical physics experts in Ireland.
Dr. Geissler is a clinically qualified medical physicist in radiotherapy medical physics as per the certification standards endorsed by the International Medical Physics Certification Board, the International Organization for Medical Physics, and the International Atomic Energy Agency (2021).
Dr. Geissler has applied to become an overseas member of The Faculty of Radiologists and Radiation Oncologists, Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.
Whilst a postdoctoral fellow in Ireland, Dr. Geissler conducted biomedical research in the broad field of nonequilibrium thermodynamics and theoretical biology. For his theory of the maturation and differentiation of hematopoietic stem cells, Dr. Geissler was awarded the B.A.I.(Trinity) and L.C.E.(Trinity) in medical physics and biomedical engineering following a viva voce by Fellows of Trinity College, Dublin. In addition, Dr. Geissler was awarded the title “Fellow of the Institution of Engineers of Ireland” for his work in biomedical engineering.
Presently, Dr. Geissler conducts theoretical biophysics research re treating cancer using stem cells in combination with radiation therapy.
MEDICAL PHYSICS IN NEVADA
Dr. Geissler is a radiology technologist, medical physicist, and international member of the American College of Radiology.
Throughout the United States, Dr. Geissler is a nuclear medical physicist and diagnostic medical physicist pursuant to 10 CFR § 35.51.
In Nevada, Dr. Geissler is licensed as a radiology technologist to engage in radiation therapy and radiologic imaging. Dr. Geissler is a member of the Nevada Society of Radiologic Technologists. In addition, Dr. Geissler is a mammography medical physicist service provider pursuant to NAC Chapter 459 specifically NAC 459.154 and NAC 459.156.
In Nevada, the focus of Dr. Geissler’s private practice of radiation oncology is “soft” x-ray treatment of surficial skin cancer.
